Christmas Eve is finally here…you may have family and friends nearby or even staying with you, or maybe you are visiting with them. If you have children, they are most likely having a difficult time containing their excitement for Santa’s arrival. Take a few moments to close your eyes and just breathe. This day and Christmas Day will come and go so quickly, then on to the New Year preparations, so take a few minutes to savor today’s magic, be present in the moment.
Part of the joy of Christmas Eve is the anticipation of the holiday tomorrow. Will all the preparations and time you put in yield a wonderful, joy filled day? Will the meal be as delicious as you have planned? Will your family and friends enjoy the gifts you carefully selected for them?
Take a bit of time to just enjoy the memories you have already created this season, the process of getting ready for the big day, the excitement in the air. As you think about these things today, realize that this holiday celebration is about kindness, joy, peace, service and love. All of the qualities we strive to live daily, but seem to lose sight of throughout the year, we celebrate now with our family and friends, those we love.
I truly hope you have enjoyed the 12 Days of Minimalist Christmas as much as I enjoyed writing and creating each of them. They have helped me keep this Christmas season in focus and enjoy the individual moments and memories created with my family. I wanted to leave you with a more personal Christmas wish, so if you’d like, click on the video below-
I wish you and all those celebrating with you a wonderful and very Merry Christmas!
