This weekend I was doing some decluttering, well, I should say trying to. I’ve done a lot, and am whittling our belongings down to the very last of what we actually use and enjoy. There are still some items that I just can’t let go…For instance, my college backpack. I’ve been out of college for hmm…let’s say well over 5 years. But it’s my favorite PINK Reebok backpack! What else did I find…about 8 bars of unused Cetaphil soap…pretty expensive soap to just chuck, but, I’ve been lugging it around for at least 2 years. How about some books I used while homeschooling the kiddos last year? They are enrolled in school this year, and no telling when or IF I will home school them again, so reason says to let some home schooling family use those books, but no, I had to put them back in the closet with our craft supplies, because that seems like a good place for them…(eye roll)
Sometimes it’s just hard to part with things! Alas, this weekend my ‘stuff’ won out more than my inner decluttering warrior. But, it did make me use my imagination a bit to create the image for this post. Hopefully I’ll win my battle next time! Hope you enjoy!
